BIOGRAPHY:
Jim has been a professional photographer since 1979. In the early years, he traveled with his Canon A-1 and Linhof Technika 4x5 view camera photographing the American West, amassing a stock photo library of over 10,000 transparencies. He now shoots exclusively digital with Nikon equipment, looking to craft outstanding photographs. His photographs have appeared in numerous ads, books, magazines, and on magazine covers. Assignments have included such clients as the National Park Service and U.S. Electricar.
In 2001, Jim and his family left northern California and moved to Colorado Springs in the foothills of Colorado's Rocky Mountains. He has developed a deep passion for the mountains of Colorado, and doesn't think there's a more beautiful place on earth.
In November of 2008, Jim officially launched The Quiet Light LLC, with an emphasis on bringing his finest images to print. In February of 2010, that dream was realized when a selection of his photos was made available for sale as fine art prints and an extensive variety of other products in The Quiet Light Online Store.
